FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
But I've lived in the Grand Valley for several years. Can I still join Newcomers? While most of our members come from elsewhere, we accept even those who were born here. Everyone is welcome. And you can stay a member as long as you want. It's not uncommon to meet members who have been with us for over 20 years!
Are both men and women encouraged to join?
Absolutely. Men and women are very active in the GJNC. Everyone is encouraged to become involved. We have something of interest to everyone, couples and singles alike.
How do I join?
Its easy. Go here to the Membership form. Print a copy, complete it, and send it, along with a check to the address shown on the form, or, come to our next monthly coffee, visit with us, and join at the meeting. The coffees are the second Wednesday of each month, 9:30 a.m., at the Masonic Lodge/Grand Valley Event Center, 2400 Consistory Ct, Street, Grand Junction. (map). You can check the calendar for a scheduled special guest speaker.
What about singles?

What if there is not an activity that I would like?
The Grand Junction Newcomers Club is all about assuring that there are activities to meet all likes and interests. If there is an activity that we currently don't offer, one that you are particularly interested in, come to a meeting, bring it up, and don't be surprised if you find it can be accommodated.
