The next hike for Thursday, 21 November is Canyon Rim Trail on the Colorado National Monument. From the Visitor Center of the Colorado National Monument we will hike along the rim of the canyon, taking in vast views of the top of the red/orange/brown canyon, toward Window Rock. The hike is easy with sandy soil and rocks to step over. We will be 2-2.5 hours and about 4 miles. You will also see the Book Cliff’s Shelter, pictured below; it is renovated. It will be sunny with temperatures in the lower/ mid 30’s.
Meet at 0900 in front of the CNM Visitor center. This is a fee area. Most GJ seniors have a National Park Pass to get them in. If you do not, please call me so that I can bring you in.

I returned late last night from a trip to the East to see family. Now I will get back to leading hikes going for you.
