This is the hike that everybody thanks me for setting up. You will be amazed. We are earlier this year to get more color.
We will use a car shuttle to park cars along CO HWY 65, travel up HWY 65, then let folks off to walk along an old dirt road about 6 miles–downhill, but not steep. You will hike under the arches of old, intensely colored, aspen and spruce trees, over colored leaves, and past scenic lakes. There will be few vehicles on the path, so it will be safe. Hike will be about 2.5 hours and then some wait-time while cars pick up. Ya’all can talk. You’re good at that. 😊 Will be sunny with temperatures in the 50’s–just perfect–on Grand Mesa.
Meeting point Clifton, Coronado shopping center (think City Market) on the SW corner outside Urgent Care at 0845 Thursday, 26 September, to set up carpools Afterwards those who wish will gather for lunch.
