ABOUT US & FAQ'S

ABOUT US

Founded all the way back in 1941, our club today has more than 340 members including couples, singles, working people and retirees from across the Grand Valley. Our club is a 501(c)7 non-profit organization, governed by bylaws and an executive board of directors. All dues and fees collected from members are spent to run the business of the club and its activities.

The Grand Junction Newcomers Club is run by our amazing volunteer members, who lead the club, communicate with members, work with the community and organize all activities and events. We also encourage our members to get involved in the community, and many support and volunteer for the non-profit organizations we have gotten to know.

FAQ'S

While most of our members have moved to the Grand Valley recently, everyone is welcome – even if you’ve lived here all of your life.
No! You can stay a member as long as you want. It’s not uncommon to meet members who have been with us for 10 years and longer.

Absolutely. Men and women are very active in the GJNC.  Everyone is encouraged to become involved.  We have something of interest to everyone, couples and singles alike.

Definitely! We are about friendship, activity, and fun. There are no limits on who can participate.

It’s easy.  Go here to the Membership form.   Print a copy, complete it, and send it, along with a check to the address shown on the form, or, come to our next monthly coffee, visit with us, and join at the meeting.  The coffees are the second Wednesday of each month, 9:30 a.m., at the Masonic Lodge/Grand Valley Event Center, 2400 Consistory Ct, Street, Grand Junction.

The Grand Junction Newcomers Club is all about ensuring that there are activities to meet all interests.  If there is an activity that we currently don’t offer, one that you are particularly interested in, come to a meeting, bring it up, and don’t be surprised if you find it can be accommodated.
