        Lunch and Tour

        _
On Wednesday, February 15, we will tour Moonscapes 3D in Fruita with lunch at The End Zone Sports Pub. Moonscapes 3D is a sculpture enlargement business. They use a laser scanner to analyze a small version of the sculpture capturing thousands of data points. They then replicate the sculpture in foam. The artist can adjust the enlarged version with carving and clay before sending it to a foundry. This greatly speeds up the process of creating large sculptures like the ones that grace Grand Junction's Main Street.

Space is limited at their workshop so we will be splitting the group into 2 10-person tours, one at 10:30am and one at 2pm. Lunch 11:30am at the End Zone: For $10.00 you will get a choice of Tuna Salad Sandwich, Turkey Sandwich, Prime Beef Sandwich (it was very rare the day Marilyn tried it), Chicken Caesar Wrap or 1/3 lb Burger. Those selections all come with a choice of French Fries or Cole Slaw. Or you can pick “Salad and cup of soup,” or “Soup and 1/2 Sandwich” (tuna salad, turkey, prime beef). Price includes coffee, tea, ice tea, soda, tax, and tip. You will pay before, but order off this menu at the restaurant.
