Our thanks to Joe Wharton for his November program featuring
beautiful photography of the scenery and picturesque towns and
villages seen during his trips in the Maritimes and Eastern

DINNER CLUB
On November 14th, dinner club members met at
the host homes of Mel and Tanya Davis, Dean and Joan Dybing,
Jack and Claudia Gray, Tim and Claudia Heckel, Dennis and Peggy
Pretti, and Bruce and Mary Clare Williams.
Many thanks to these hosts and hostesses.
Our menu was a crab dip, spinach and mandarin
orange salad, stuffed flank steak and mashed potatoes, and
pumpkin cake for dessert.
Our December event will be held at the Museum
of Western Colorado.
If you are interested in meeting new friends and eating
some really good food, please consider joining Dinner Club.

Meets three or four
times a year. Usually at 1:00 PM at the Dragon Treasure
restaurant in Fruita where you can dine casually while receiving
some great financial information by local experts. For

The Golf Ladies are back in action. We are
playing each Tuesday at 9:00 AM providing the weather is good.

HIKING CLUB
Meets every Thursday for hiking around the valley.
We will be hiking in the lower areas of the Grand Valley
during the big game hunting season.
Snowshoeing season is
getting close! All activities are tentative depending upon the
weather. Be sure to bring appropriate layered clothing, water or

LADIES OUT-TO-LUNCH BUNCH
Meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at various restaurants.
Due to failing health, I will be stepping down as the
leader of the “Ladies Out to Lunch Bunch”.
Thus a new leader is needed.

LUNCHEON
Please plan to
join us for our annual holiday banquet
Wednesday, December 17, from
11:00 to 1:00 PM at the Redlands Mesa Golf
Club. There
will be an absolutely sumptuous buffet featuring two
salads (garden and pasta), three entrees (roasted pork
with apricot glaze, roast beef with Hunter sauce, and
chicken marsala), green beans almandine, mashed
potatoes, and for dessert lemon bars and brownies.
The inclusive price of $21 includes beverage
(coffee and ice tea), tax, and gratuity.
Reserve early
as space is limited.
December 1 is the deadline for sign-up, and
payment must be received by the December 10 Newcomers'
meeting.
Festivities
will start at 11:00 AM with a cash bar, lunch will
commence at 11:30 AM, and seasonal entertainment will be
offered before we conclude at 1:00 PM.
To reach the
Redlands Mesa Golf Club, follow 340 (Broadway) to Ridges
Blvd. At
Ridges Blvd., turn south and continue on Ridges Blvd.,
bearing right at the intersection with Mariposa, until
you reach the Golf Club which will be on your left.
There is ample parking

It's time for our annual Christmas luncheon!

The December potluck social will be
held on Friday, December 12 at the home of Geri and
Charlie Mishmash.
It will start at 6:00 PM and you are
asked to bring your favorite finger food, hors d’oeuvres
or dessert and your own adult beverage if you want one
(red wine is OK)
Table service, coffee and other beverages will be
provided.
